I switched the TV on this morning as I was juicing some fruit and veg to get the day off to a good start 

I caught an item on the BBC’s morning news that a lot of people would have found disturbing, worrying and maybe even down right scary 

I felt relived though 

In short the item was all about the massive shift the economy is going through right now and how our current eduction system just isn’t prepared for it or capable of preparing people for what’s coming.

So what’s coming? 

A number of experts, futurists and business owners were interviewed and some figures were discussed:

It’s estimated that some 4 million UK jobs will be disappearing over the next 12 years thanks to technology. 

The industries affected are not just (as you might imagine) low skilled jobs that can be easily replaced my machines

 That happened in the Industrial revolution anyway - digital technology is in a way just an extension of that 

We are looking at (among many other industries) Retail, Insurance, Financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, estate agency 

But its far from all bad - which why I felt relief….

Because the opportunities for those who have skills that are relevant in the digital world are truly massive 

It’s like a divide - you can either be on the scary side of that divide or the exciting, abundant side 

And it really is YOUR choice which 

NOW really is the time to get yourself onto the good side. 

And as most experts are saying - you just cant get there via the old education system - it’s just not ready. 

You need to go private

And get your education from the people who are already on the right side of the divide (and have been for years)
