I used to ask myself that all the time until I realised that these days almost every business is actually an online business 

Ok so there are still obviously a lot of businesses that are traditional, bricks n mortar but almost all of them, 

Even in a little Scottish seaside town like Dunoon near where I live now have some kind of online presence

My partner has a traditional driving instruction business but she got almost all of her students via the internet (Facebook) when we moved here 2 years ago. 

It’s the same for the friends we’ve made here who run one-man businesses - like Andy the chainsaw artist

He gets all the business he can handle via his facebook page. 

Any traditional business that doesn’t know how to market themselves online - and there are a lot of them - is on shaky ground 

Because the internet is the first place most of us go now when we are looking for something. 

That’s one side of the coin

The other is the entirely internet based business - like the one I run.

The huge difference here is that although I am also a one man band, 

I have goods and services that I can market anywhere in the world - not just locally 

And unlike my partner or our friend Andy - I’m not limited by what I can personally, physically do in a day, a week, a month or a year 

(You can only do so many driving lessons in a day or produce so many wooden sculptures after all.)

Because the products I sell are digital and my business is entirely automated. I do a little work on the front end and it can go on producing revenue for a long time 

There is no real limit to the number of sales that can happen and you don’t have to be there when they do — you don’t even have to be awake

Think about that for a minute if you will…..

And the advantages just keep coming …..

There’s no limit to what type of goods and services can be sold online so you can build exactly the kind of business you want to 

You can make a lot of money and create an enviable lifestyle by helping businesses to grow online 

All you need to do is to get the relevant skills and become a high value person in the digital world. 

And you can get those (and a highly profitable, ready to roll online business)
