In a job situation someone else makes that decision for you
If its a well paid job you’ve probably invested considerable time and money to get it
Usually by investing both in your education and skills
Maybe you consider that time and money well spent
The trouble is it’s all so reliant on a flaky economy isn’t it. When times are hard a few things happen
The annual pay rise shrinks or stops all together
Redundancies start
You are
asked to fill the gap by taking on more work (for the same for less pay)
It seems to me that right now the traditional economy is in a seriously bad place and those in charge seem to be running around like headless chickens.
Technology is moving so fast and disrupting the status quo in startling ways -
everyone has been caught off guard.
Meanwhile the new economy is growing in leaps and bounds.
So you really have just two choices:
Stick with the tanking old economy - the job or traditional business and hope for the best (good luck with that)
Or re-skill for the future - actually it’s the present!
But again the traditional system of education that you invested all that time and money in just can’t cut the mustard - too old and too slow.
So you need to get it
elsewhere
Which is where the new educators - actual “in the trenches” digital entrepreneurs come in.
