Over the years I’ve learned that where progress is concerned (and with my partner’s passion for re-decorating the house!)
Resistance is futile.
When digital photography came a long I was skeptical. I’d been into 35mm photography since I was 14 and the early digital jobs really were crap.
But they got better very quickly and now I wouldn’t go back to Film (if you can still get it?) for
anything.
Same with digital music recording.
Same with Smartphone camera’s, tablets (when the Ipad came out me and my colleagues in the AV industry laughed at them. Now I’d struggle to get by without mine)
But biggest and
best of all …..
…. Embracing the digital economy.
You just get to a point where not only is resisting the inevitable futile - it’s also a bit stupid !
Because in all these
cases, the digital revolution has proven to make things simpler, more efficient, more user friendly and just plain better.
I mean would you honestly want to go back to a film camera for your holiday snaps?
Having to wait a week or more to have them developed only to find that half of
your precious memories have turned out badly - with no chance of rescuing them.
And when you take this digital revolution thing to its logical end - making your income on the internet
I guarantee you will never want to go back to a 9-5 job (not that there will be many of those left in a decade or
so) or a traditional business (ditto)
So if you want a better life simply by getting with the programme as you did when you bought a smartphone, digital camera or an Ipad

You know it makes sense…
Right - I better get on with the painting! 😂
Cheers!
