I watched an interesting interview with ex Chess grandmaster Gary Kasparov on BBC news last night.
He was actually the
first world champion to be defeated by a computer back in 1997
Now he is the Chairman for the Human Rights Foundation and a firm supporter of progress (including artificial intelligence)
Some of his key points were:
“Progress always created problems before it created jobs”.
“The leaders of the free world must think about the vision of the future”
“If you keep promoting you’ll be losing sight because dynamic ideas always
will always prevail”
“Machines have been taking jobs from people for centuries if not millenia”
It’s always great to hear people of this stature stressing the need for Governments, thought leaders and the people in general to embrace what’s
coming
And how to get ready for it.
The trouble is governments and long established systems of education move very slowly.
Thats why we need private organisations
like SFM and DEA to provide hands on, from the trenches, mentorship, up to the minute education and opportunities.
Because as Gary Kasparov says - “Dynamic Ideas will always prevail”
We cant stop the march of technology now even if we wanted to
So we need to learn how to take advantage of it and let it transform our lives as it truly can.
And the best way to do that is to align with those that can help us to do that in lots of different ways

job.
