I mentioned to you in my last email that I’d been invited onto an exclusive leadership programme with my mentors and business partners at SFM and DEA

I’ve reached a point in my online business in terms of earnings and number of referrals that qualifies me to enter the programme

(always nice to get some acknowledgment)

The first webinar of the programme took place on Wednesday night and to be honest I didn’t know what to expect. 

This is high powered stuff after all hosted by a group of mega successful marketers. 

 Part of me was thinking (stupidly as it turns out) That this was going to be like those hellish sales courses I’ve been on  in the past as a business development exec.

Nothing could be further from the truth 

We went through “The Hero’s Journey”

“ A pattern of narrative identified by the American scholar Joseph Campbell that appears in drama, storytelling, myth, religious ritual, and psychological development". 

And it was amazing stuff (Google it for more detail) I realised that I’ve done this journey many times in my life - as I’m sure you have too. 

I just didn’t know it had been written down in a series of steps.

Basically its all about simply telling your story and how you personally got through the various stages in that journey.

I find that actually that’s all I do in my online business - the videos, blogs and other content I produce. 

There was no “Selling techniques”, no “Always be closing” no stupid role playing (I hate that sh*t)

Just honesty and integrity 

Thats how I think all business should be done - its how I used to sell things I believed in and was passionate about 

And that’s exactly how I feel about SFM and DEA 

I’ll be keeping you updated on my “Hero’s Journey” with practical., actionable advice, insights and yes …dare I say it … leadership, over the coming weeks and months
