Yesterday I picked up my car from the coachbuilder who had been repairing a dent someone was nice enough to put in the rear wing for me (thanks) 

I’d told him I was getting ready to sell the car and he made me an offer for it 

For about a third of it’s worth! 

I managed not to choke but he could tell I was shocked. So he upped his offer saying that he would also wave the cost of the repair 

That took us up to about half of its value. 

He tried his best to make a case for the low offer:

“It’s going to need a few things done to it soon and the parts will be expensive”, (he named a price)

Now here’s where the knowledge thing comes in….

I had priced the parts myself and again they are actually about a third of the price he told me.

I also know the going rate for a private sale of my car 

AND

I know how to market the car to the Right people online.

The truth of this situation is that this guy was banking (wrongly) on having more knowledge than me 

Sadly this type of thing happens every day in all walks of life. 

It’s the same in the sometimes overwhelming world of internet business “opportunities”.

That’s why its better to aim for increasing your knowledge BEFORE someone pulls the wool over you eyes. 

When you KNOW how it all works you won’t be fooled into the get rich quick nonsense, the push button traffic myth and all the other hyped up, baseless rubbish out there.
