One of the best things about having the kind of resources you get from SFM and DEA is the support that comes with it.

Here’s an example and something you need to think about if you are online - or would like to be.

(This is a little techie so read it through a couple of times)

On the last day of January Google put a new policy into action.

Basically it means that in order for your website to be secure you need an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate.

If you don’t have that from now on your website will have a little (i) symbol in front of the http: part of its url - the website’s address on the search bar.

When a visitor clicks on that (i) it opens a window which warns you that the site is not safe for credit card transactions or for providing any sensitive information.

When you DO have the SSL certificate activated a little padlock symbol and the word secure will be there instead. This gives a visitor complete peace of mind. 

It’s a tricky little process which if you are a bit techie you could do yourself - but its a pain! 

If like me however, you are an SFM member and have your websites hosted in the Digital Business Lounge (included with membership) It’s pretty simple. 

You just buy the certificate and send it to the company you bought your domain name from (Godaddy etc) 

They then send you a file which needs to be added to your site wherever its hosted. 

SFM members just send that to support at DBL and they do the rest. 

This is just one of the many reasons why anyone who is serious about creating a profitable, sustainable internet business should be doing it with SFM and DEA.

It’s just common sense to learn form the best and to have the most up date information, training and support at your disposal.
