I had one of those moments earlier today
I was driving along the coast road to grab some wine for the weekend and
drop some cash into the bank.
It was a windy but very bright day. The sea was on my right and ahead the picturesque town of Dunoon.
Then my partner passed me on her way back home after doing a driving lesson. We waved at each other - as you do.
And my mind flashed back to when I was looking at buying my first flat many years ago.
I’ve known and loved this area for ages and used to look at houses for sale here never for a moment thinking I’d ever be able to live here.
There’s was no chance of finding a great traditional job or career here so It was just a little pipe dream.
But as I passed my partner in her driving school car I just thought
“Wow here we are! both running businesses here, owners of our dream
cottage by the sea, happier than we’ve ever been”.
That’s the possibilities of modern living
And in the spirit of mindfulness I add this little moment to the things I’m grateful for.
If you’re reading this around 3pm - as I write it - you might be going through that late afternoon slump.
You might be watching the clock count down to the weekend - like the lady I spoke to in the supermarket and the guy in the bank.
Just respect the
fact that you are living in times where you can live and work anywhere you choose if you want to.
And have loads more great little moments!
Cheers
