We are living in strange and disruptive times …

Over the last few months we’ve had Brexit in the UK, Trump becoming President of the USA and daily we are hearing about how the robots are coming to take away all our jobs! 

Actually my partner and I watched a re-run of Bicentennial man where the late, great Robin Williams stars as a robot who over time learns how to be more human.

Even back in 1999 this was a forecast of what might come - in fact it’s based on a novelette by Isaac Asimov, written way back in 1976.

Having seen a lot of science fiction become science fact in my time I have no doubts about where all this automation, artificial intelligence and technology is going.
