So yesterday I waxed lyrical about being resourceful and how decided to try and fix my plasma TV …
Well the thing is it
didn’t work - sometimes thats just the way the cookie crumbles
I got the replacement part and fitted it without problems but when I switched the TV on ….
It still didn’t work.
The new part (a
recycled item) was either faulty or wasn’t actually the problem.
So sometimes you just need to temper resourcefulness with common sense. The supplier offered a no quibble refund so I’m only out of pocket a few pounds in postage.
I could continue to try replacing more parts
and hopefully get to the bottom of the problem but that could be a long and expensive task.
I’ve bought a new TV - Hey at least I tried!
Part of being resourceful as an entrepreneur is learning to value your time - one of your biggest resources.
I’m no electrical engineer - I’ll try and fix something that looks easy enough but I’m not going to spend a ton of time learning how to test circuits, replace capacitors etc - not worth it.
Same goes for trying to work out how to do internet marketing. You could spend a lifetime and a fortune trying to work it out yourself -
thinking thats being resourceful
But really its way more resourceful to leverage the experience of people who have already done it and can teach you.
And thats the advantage of resources like SFM and DEA especially when you can try before you buy

So if you’ve tried and haven’t found the answers, be really resourceful and use common
sense
Cheers!
