The hotel we stayed in on our whistle stop visit to Berlin last week, overlooked a massive building which housed offices for a massive banking corporation.

I actually shot some video of it during the small amount of time we spent in the room in between exploring the city.

I’ll be incorporating it into a video next week which I’ll share with you but as you’ll see from the photo it reminded me a lot of a bee hive! 

As we sat in the room on a Wednesday afternoon, sipping wine and getting ready to head out the “worker bees” were busy in their little cells.

I was reminded of the years I spent in a similar environment - not quite the massive warren of offices this was - bit basically just as a faceless number to the “Queen Bee” - easily dispensed with when things got tough.

Looking at that building and all the people scurrying around in it I could tell that some of them were obviously high fliers. No doubt on a great income.

Lots of my friends and colleagues who are now digital entrepreneurs were from the same background. 

Working very long hours in a corporate “Hive” like this - but when they saw a way to replace and even increase that income by working less and from wherever they wanted - they knew they were onto a winner. 

They knew that with hard work, new skills and a tried and tested system they could escape.

We are approaching Black Friday and Cyber Monday - two of the biggest days of the year for internet sales. You’ll hear some mind blowing figures on the news next weekend of what has been spent.

Just be aware that a lot of that income will be earned by solo internet entrepreneurs and that you could be one of them. 

Instead of just another worker bee.
