Over the last couple of days the internet connection here in our little corner of the Scottish Highlands the internet connection has been patchy - actually painfully slow at times!

How does this affect those of us who work online? 

Well obviously it slows down the online part of the business. Uploading videos, blogs and social media posts but really that’s no big deal.

There are lots of options if you really need to get onto the web. 

Even here where things can be a little behind the times, there are plenty of pubs, coffee shops and libraries where you can go to work.

It can actually be great to have a little change of scene - gets the creative juices flowing. 

You can also work away on content and then upload it as soon as things get back to normal. 

Or of course you could pretend you’re back at school on one of those days when the heating breaks down and you get sent home! 

But the point is the Internet is everywhere - which means you can earn a living from anywhere. 

That’s been the biggest revelation for me and probably thing about the digital world I value most.
