On Friday my post was about the massive results some of my extended SFM and DEA family have been having.
As they said -
there is too much hype and falseness in the online business world and that kind of suffocates the reality of what is an incredible industry.
I often wonder why so much of the BS put there is so focussed on the money side of things. But as that is just the way it is, I understand why people who are doing well sometimes like to shout about it.
I know I have when I’ve had great results myself but here’s the thing…
When I do it or when people I know do it we are coming from a “Look If I can do this - so can you”’ rather than a “Look at me” perspective.
Yes money is
important - it’s what our world runs on after all - like or loath it.
But as any millionaire will tell you (and I know a good few now) - Once the glitter and shine of all the material stuff it buys wears thin, what’s really important is the freedom to enjoy the one life you get.
That’s what I
appreciate most about discovering this lifestyle.
When I brew my first coffee of the day and open the door to sip it on my porch there is often a young deer staring at me from 10 feet away.
Or when I take a deep breath and smell the sea, knowing that the day is mine and is full of possibilities.
That’s when I really appreciate what I’ve been able to do with what I’ve learned.
I can’t deny that when I finish my coffee and fire up my Macbook to discover that I’ve earned a nice chunk of money the feeling is truly wonderful.
But its more because of what I can do with that money: Sustain this lifestyle, expand on it, make it possible for other people, travel …..
If I could give one piece of advice to anyone that wants to have this “Laptop Lifestyle”(apart from joining SFM obviously)
It would be to stop focussing on the money and start visualising what you could do with it instead.
Try it.
Cheers!
