15 or so years ago my boss at the time was seriously excited to take part in the first internet chat any of us had ever seen. 

Her business partner was a IT specialist and this was in fact quite far ahead of the times.

When she asked if I’d like to take part - and chat live to someone in AMERICA! - I found I didn’t actually know what to type ……. hello….?

Although it was at the time an amazing thing, it seemed very clumsy and slow.

I’d never in a million years have guessed that that technology and what followed it would change my life completely years later.

But it sure has!

Whats followed those awkward online chats has been like watching sci-fi becoming normality. 

Its a normality that younger generations than mine take completely for granted but I’ve watched it grow and expand to the point where the possibilities on offer now are endless.

And this is really just the tip of the iceberg.
