Although posting inspirational, wise, thought provoking quotes all over social media has become an accepted activity for marketers - it makes me gag.
The trouble is though that so many of these quotes are seriously great - they can even be life changing.
It’s the same for those anonymous adages that have become part of the language:
“Never assume because to
assume makes an ass of U and me” groan…
“Never judge a book by it’s cover” barf!
But dammit they are true!
So today I’m going to try to hold onto my breakfast and do
it with this one
“Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway”.
Its actually the title of a book by Susan Jeffers but the title has become one of those little Google images that gets regurgitated time and time again.
Because it’s seriously good advice.
It’s depressing to think how many people are held back by their fears - even though most of those fears are totally unfounded.
In fact its the fear of what MIGHT
happen if you do something and it doesn’t work out.
But if you don’t do it YOU WILL NEVER KNOW what might have been.
And that is often quoted as being the Number one deathbed regret……
While I’m on a roll - “Life starts outside the comfort zone”, “Screw it, lets do it”, “DIN - Do It Now”
And why not end on the most overused cliche of all time?
“The definition of insanity is doing the
same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”.
Annoying as seeing these day after day can be - they are a pretty good way to live your life.
Cheers!
