One of the handful of internet people who I subscribe to is a guy called Jon Loomer.
Jon is a Facebook
advertising specialist and has built an impressive business around that specific area.
I’ve never actually bought anything from him yet (sorry Jon!) as SFM have their own resident Facebook training experts but I do really like his content.
I’ve commented on his blog posts and he always replies in person -
a rare thing in this industry and something I respect hugely.
I guess I feel a lot in common with Jon as like me, he was laid off twice in the space of 2 years before starting his own online business.
Yesterday his email linked to a post he had written about the sometimes hilarious journey he has been on
then since then.
He talked about the mistakes he made trying do everything on his own: He actually showed his first (awful) self designed logo, his first videos, his first podcast and his first ever speaking engagement.
He’s the first to admit he didn’t have a clue about starting or running a
business.
But he had the one essential ingredient - He wasn’t going to give up and he took action. He swallowed his fears and his pride and just got on with it.
During the blog he consistently mentioned the importance of finding mentors, investing in training and in investing in the right things to grow his
business (paying for a proper logo design being one!)
Like Stu and Jay from SFM and DEA, Jon Loomer is very critical of many of the so called Guru’s out there who having made it, give the impression that it was all plain sailing.
Like them and I hope me (though I haven’t quite reached those
giddy heights yet) these guys tell you exactly what it takes to achieve 6, 7 and 8 figure online business success.
No flim flam and no BS - just exactly what you need and none of what you really don’t need.
No offence to Mr Loomer but he’s a little more of a theory guy and is very focussed on just
one area of online marketing.
The SFM guys give you a wider range of training and experience because its very unwise - if you want to be a truly independent online business person - to put all your eggs in one basket.
So first and foremost I recommend you choose SFM and DEA as your vehicle
But there is no harm at all in connecting with great people like Jon Loomer for even more refreshing honestly and inspiration.
Cheers!
