It hasn’t happened to me very often (maybe because I don’t enter many contests) but I’ve won a prize from my mentors and business partners at SFM and DEA - Yay! 

Actually I have to thank the people from the SFM and DEA community who voted for my entry in the video contest.

If that includes you many thanks (hopefully I can thank in person at one of the many live events)

The prize is a signed copy of another of my entrepreneurial heroes Gary Vaynerchuk and a handwritten thank you letter from Stu and Jay the founders of SFM and DEA.

I’m quietly chuffed as I shot the video titled

              “How My Life Has Changed Since Joining SFM”

partly to test my green screen set up.

My life really has changed completely since joining SFM and a large part of that can be credited to what they have taught me and to also joining their business opportunity and community.

So in the video I chose to use a variety of my own photos shot around where I live as backgrounds to a green screen recording of me in my office. 

Whilst I’d love to have won one of the top prizes - one to one mentoring sessions with Stu, Jay, Justin Woolf or JJ Jackson, I’m very pleased with what’s on it’s way.

Years ago I heard of Gary V when I was running my first ever web business - an e-commerce store selling wine. 

Since then the social media guys at SFM have met with him and arranged to have him sign a number of copies of his latest book as prizes for one of their numerous community competitions. 

Funny old world! 

Just goes to show what’s possible when you are connected to the best in the industry.
