We met up with some friends and saw a great Eagles Tribute band in Glasgow on at the weekend. They were called Hotel Caledonia LOL!
Their note perfect cover of "Desperado", with the lines about the cowboy mending fences for too long came into my head again this morning when I was checking my email
You see I have a plugin on all my websites called Wordfence.
Every day I get notifications from them
informing me they have blocked an attempt by someone to log into one of my sites.
In reality this is probably a bot - a piece of malicious software that runs through thousands of combinations of passwords and logins.
At times a thousand attempts are blocked for me by Wordfence. On couple of occasions that
my sites have been hacked, the amazing support guys at SFM boot the hackers out, and fix things for me double fast.
So two messages for you today:
1. Choose very secure passwords for all your online stuff - Wordpress website included. Never on an accpunt use “admin” as your password - for
anything. It’s the first thing hackers try.
2. If you have a Wordpress website get the free plugin of Wordfence at least. You just need to go to plugins, search for it and instal it.
Of course if you don’t have website or a highly profitable online business you could take advantage of the current SFM free trial
and online business startup training bundle……..
Check it out here
Cheers!
