Hi there - hope you’re having a good week so far?

The other day a recent subscriber got in touch with me through Linkedin with a question. 

She had just seen all of the SFM free video series and was ready to get started. Her question was this. 

“What challenges have you faced in growing your SFM business?”

I thought that might be a question you may also have so here is my answer (this could apply to starting an online business in general also) 

Since I have used the SFM’s training, systems and tools and my main business is as an SFM and DEA affiliate my answer is from that perspective. 

In other words the challenges were not what you may think:

Building websites, landing pages, blogs etc - all the techie stuff in other words. SFM’s unique modular system and support set up makes that stuff pretty simple. 

There is a lot to learn nevertheless - especially if you are completely new to the world of internet marketing. So the biggest challenge for me was not becoming overwhelmed by it all. 

Again if you choose SFM as your vehicle, you have a head start on that and can learn what parts of the puzzle you need to be concentrating on form start to finish. 

The next challenge is deciding which platform you are going to use to promote your business: Facebook, Adwords, blogging, Youtube video, free advertising, paid advertising ….. whatever you choose there is a learning curve. 

Again though, which ever you choose, SFM has a dedicated suite of expert training for you. 

So really these challenges are fairly minor. It’s just a case of being willing to learn and APPLY that learning. It’s not difficult - just different. 

I would say that the biggest challenge - and this would be true for starting any kind of business  - is mastering the self employed mindset (if you have never run a business or been self-employed) 

I also have to say that what is challenging for one person is a snap to someone else. With SFM you have a ton of support from the company and from the entire community. There is always someone to turn to for advice, help and support. 

Running a business present you with challenges of one kind or another almost daily. You have to learn to relish overcoming them and to reward yourself when you do. 

You need to hold yourself accountable. No matter how much training and support you have access to it’s YOUR business. 

No matter how many tools, resources and systems you have access to - you need to take action with them. 

And finally - everyone is different (hallelujah!)

If you are juggling a day job and maybe have children to look after then you have challenges already - in fact that might be why you are interested in changing your lifestyle in the first place.

Which brings to the most important point - YOUR WHY 

If you don’t like what your doing for money or you current situation in general then you are facing the challenge of that every day! and that’s a killer. 

When YOUR WHY is big enough it drives you through every challenge.
