I’ve always been annoyed by the way so many people use “tricks” to sell things.
I know I’ve done it before but I
have to do it again - use car sales as my example that is. Sorry! (not really)
Its the showing you the “secret” info on the computer screen that you shouldn’t really get to see …
The several visits to the sales manager’s office to beg him for a better deal - just for you..
Then surprise the sales manager comes over to join the conversation….
There are actually solid tactics, training and psychology behind all this but it just annoys me.
If the products and services you are selling are actually good then there is no
need for trickery and games - is there?
Then there’s the macho posturing after a sale is made - almost as if the sales person has defeated you - made you buy from them. Sometimes they even ring a bell!
That’s what I love abut the internet - it dispenses with all that crap. If you are buying, you can do all your
research there, decide what you’re going to buy and if you can’t buy it online - you can just turn up with the money.
That’s also what I liked about the SFM when I first was introduced. In an industry which has been tainted in the past with it’s fair share of false promises and hype they stood out as just “Doing what it says on the tin”.
No
tricks - no B.S.- Visit my SFM Video FAQ page to see what I mean
Cheers!
