Its a Bank Holiday today in many parts of the UK.
To be honest I wouldn’t have known if it I hadn’t seen a TV ad for a Bank Holiday furniture sale.
When you are self employed in a industry that isn’t restricted to time in the way a traditional business or job is, you tend to lose track of these once important dates - public holidays etc.
I
well remember though when those “free” public holidays were like mana from the heavens! - An extra day (even 2 days sometimes!) away from work! wow!
But really what a shit way to live don’t you think? In a day and age when it really is not difficult to build your life the way you want it.
I don’t know
about you but I find those TV ads that lead to Bank or Public holidays a little depressing…
They imply that the public are holidays are the only time that most people have the time to go and buy that 3 piece lounge suite or new bathroom they’ve wanted for ages.
And that actually there’s nothing they’d rather do
with that “free” extra day off work!
TV advertising is wildly expensive so you can bet that lots of research has been done beforehand that backs up those depressing facts.
But then if we are all tied to old fashioned systems, working hours, standard holidays, its pretty easy to predict our habits. To know when
we have “free” time and when we tend to buy those big ticket items.
Makes us easy to control.
I for one am incredibly grateful that I’ve managed to escape from those lifestyle restrictions and that I’m able to share the systems, training and mindset that helped me get here with other
people.
By recommending they (You) Join SFM ! It really is that
simple.
Cheers!
