Some people have asked me if buying a Franchise is a good idea - they like the idea of a ready made business.
I did too and as i later discovered, so did SFM co-founder Stuart Ross.
It did work out for either of us.
Mine was an e-commerce website franchise. They were pre-built web stores available in lots if different niches.
The problem for me and for many of the other franchisees I got to know (some of whom I’m still in touch with and have introduced to SFM) was that the internet marketing training and support provided was truly awful.
As complete online newbies none of us realised this till it was too late. So we just ploughed on, doing everything
they suggested until Google’s Panda and Penguin updates wiped our businesses out overnight.
It wasn’t funny at the time but when I look back on it and think of the stuff they provided as training and the way they taught internet marketing, compared to what I’ve learned with SFM - I do shake my head.
Obviously there are lots more franchise businesses out there, many of which are I’m sure pretty good but there are some pretty big Elephants in the room.
Good franchises can be expensive. A recent survey by Franchise Direct showed that people looking at buying a Franchise were budgeting for between $5K - $50K (A MacDonalds or even a New York Taxi franchise is more like
$1million)
As I found myself, they can also be very difficult to get out of, or to get your investment back if you have a legitimate claim against the Franchisor
From my experience The DEA’s franchise style partnership options are a far better bet: Less expensive than most “reputable” franchises; Less
restrictive - you can sell any goods, services or products you want along side the DEA’s cutting edge digital training.
Better and faster ROI - Most new start or even Franchise businesses can take 5 years to show profit - with an internet business that’s unheard of!
No long term, binding contracts - you can
leave SFM and DEA any time you want to with out being penalised in any way.
Absolutely top the field, ongoing training, mentorship and masterminding
The single best support set up I’ve seen in any business online of offline
So whether you are only interested in learning internet marketing to profitably promote whatever you want online
Or you are also looking for a Franchise-like, business in a box to get start with I really doubt you’ll find a better option anywhere - and I’ve tried a few!
At the
moment it all starts with an SFM membership which you can apply for here
Have a magic weekend folks !
Cheers!
