The sun blasting through the windows woke us this morning not long after dawn - so I just went with it. I got up and did a couple of hours of work.

That meant that I had the rest of the day to finish mowing the lawn and to get the new barbecue fired up for lunch.

Its days like this, sipping a beer with the smell of fresh cut grass all around and the the sun sparkling off the sea in the background I feel genuinely blessed.

I used to be stuck in a hot office or in my car on the way to meetings not long ago on days like these.

Now I spend far less time working because the work that I do is more concentrated and goes much further than 8 solid hours a day of forcing it ever could be.

By being able to choose where to live, having more control of your income and having plenty of time to appreciate it you cant help but be happy - and happiness creates success - not the other way round. 

I hope its sunny where you are today and I genuinely hope that if you’re not in a place in life that lets you fully count your blessings - you’ll start doing something about it.
