It was a bit of a strange day for me today as I was without broadband for most of the day due to a major fault with the
telecoms in our area.
Not that I spend all of my working time online - even as a person who earns my living online.
That’s another popular misconception about the internet business industry - the image of someone staring at a computer screen all day long! If that were true I’d be doing something
else.
Obviously there is a certain amount of time spent on the computer either connected to the web or not but its certainly not 8 hours a day and its certainly not every day.
So I could have driven into town and found a cafe or bar that wasn’t affected by the fault in my area or I could have put up with a
slower connection via my mobile phone.
But actually I had nothing desperate that needed to be done online so I just joined my partner on a day off instead.
The broadband fault was fixed by 5pm so I did a little work then and was able to tune in to the SFM elite webinar with Justin Woolf after
dinner.
All’s well that ends well - and another example of how flexible and relaxed working online from home can be.
Hope you had a great Wednesday - not long till the weekend now eh?
