March has lived up to the line in the old poem that describes it as “In like a Lion out like a lamb” here in Scotland at least.

But here on the 1st of April the Lion is back! 

Once again I feel so lucky not to have to be doing a long commute to work today - it’s wild, wet and windy out there. 

That old poem does make you think about lions and lambs though - as in which would you rather be? 

Top of the tree with few natural predators, king of all you survey - boss in your own self proclaimed territory. 

Or one of the herd. Fed on basic rations, kept out in the cold and just waiting for the axe to fall. 

Sounds kind of dramatic I know but its not too far from the truth these days. 

The world will always need lambs I guess but its the lions that run the world and the lions are entrepreneurs. 

The most successful of whom are doing business on the internet. 

Yesterday an old friend of mine joined SFM. We both started our internet adventure by buying a franchised e-commerce store (in fact he bought 2) 

After we and many others discovered that there was no way these could be successful we tried a couple of other things with varying degrees of success. We’ve kept in touch ever since. 

Every time he’s told me about something he’s got involved with and suggested I should take a look I’ve thanked him for thinking of me but said that I’m happy with SFM and DEA thanks. 

Now after 3 years he’s decided to follow my advice and join us. I asked him why now? 

He said that he had been following a lot of my blogs and videos and could see how well it had worked out for me. 

Also - my friend has a good job in the oil and gas industry in Aberdeen, Scotland. He’d just been involved in a redundancy process at work where 17 in his own branch of the company he works for had lost their jobs  with a further 230 going in the wider group. 

These are skilled jobs and many of the people going are people he has known and worked with for 20 years.

He’s decided not to lie down like a lamb and wait for his turn, but to start getting ready for the future in the best way possible. He recognised that the internet is his best bet and that SFM are the vehicle to get him there. 

Amongst the lions. 

Sadly I hear stories like this every day now - as you know it happened to me too. 

Don’t let it happen to you - take the power back.
