Actually I love lemons but as you know the saying continues - “make lemonade”
My current “lemons” came in the form of car problems. Basically my car has been in the garage for nearly a week while the guys try to find out and fix whatever is wrong with it’s electrical system. It looks like that it’ll be there most of this week too.
Not the
problem it once was as I no longer need to commute. But as my partner uses our other car 4 days a week for her business I’m left to rely on Shank’s pony (my feet)
If I need to grab a pint of milk or something I need to walk to the local shop. It’s not far but we live on a very steep hill so the way back is a bit of a
hike.
But since the weather has been gorgeous recently I’ve turned it into a daily regime - whether I need anything or not.
So the “lemonade” has become a morning walk - before I do anything else. That walk takes in some beautiful
countryside and a stretch of the coastline.
I pass waterfalls, I see the ships and ferries and sometimes submarines cruising down the flat calm waters of the firth of clyde. I see red squirrels, deer and all kinds of birds. It sets me up for the day.
When I get back I have a pint of water and do a little work.
Then I have brunch and do a little more work in the afternoon.
It’s a far cry from my years as a
business development manager. In those - what I think of now as wasted years - I’d start the day half awake, force down a strong black coffee and jump in the car for a long commute.
Do I miss that? - What do you think?
Imagine where you'd be 12 months from now... with the right vehicle, community, mindset, and team behind you?
