Woken by gulls this morning and by golden light through a chink in the curtains - it’s like spring has come early here over the last couple of days. Yesterday we even had lunch out on the garden deck. 

Again it reminds us of the day a year or so when we came here and stayed in a hotel for a couple of days just to see how we liked the place. 

Like today it was a beautiful day and our hotel room window had a sea view (not as great as the one we have now mind you)

We sat on the bed looking at that view and talked seriously about whether we should take the “risk” of following our hearts and moving here.

Our sensible heads were saying no - don’t do it! - but our hearts were saying DO IT!!!

You see we had an offer on our Glasgow home - a very good offer in fact. We had also offered on a house in Ayrshire (the “safer option”) but it had fallen through. 

At that point we could have still changed our minds - stayed in our Glasgow pad for another year or two and kept looking. 

But on that day, in that hotel room we decided that life is short and that we would follow our dreams. 

So we rented a house here to see if we could grow my partner’s business here first - a sensible compromise. 

Honestly, as soon as we decided to do that everything just fell in to place. 

I used my SFM digital marketing training and systems to advertise my partner’s business locally and it just took off. In one weekend we filled her diary - she was busier than she had been in the big city. 

We then put down an offer on a house we had seen but didn’t think we could afford. It was accepted and that’s where we are now. 

Both our businesses have grown here and we are happier than we ever thought possible. You know why? 

Because as Stuart Ross often says - Success comes after happiness - Not the other way round. 

Really this process began when I took the “risk” of starting my online business with SFM and then DEA. That gave me location freedom and the skills to create financial independence. Everything else followed. 

All you really need to realise your dreams - whatever they are - is a vehicle to get you there. If the dream is big enough and you REALLY want it that is….

Of course there are still going to be obstacles to overcome so you need a seriously good, all purpose  vehicle  - like  A Landrover, that’ll get you around or over anything that gets in your way. 

Now I’m a very realistic guy - I’m not given to reading books like the Secret (although I have read it) and all this stuff about “reach out to the universe and it will find ways to bring you what you truly want” 

But given whats happened to us over the last 7 months - I have to wonder….

I do believe however that with the right PRACTICAL help, training and mentoring - the Landrover - anything is possible.

I’m looking at buying an actual Landrover to explore the countryside around here for my photography passion - but the Virtual Landrover that got me this far was definitely SFM and DEA
