This morning my emails included two from Youtube (Google) informing me that 2 of my videos had been removed for violating their guidelines.
What I had done was to put the tags - keywords I wanted the videos to target - in the description section under the video, as well as in the tags section provided when you upload videos.
This is a little trick that has been OK with Google for a few years but suddenly isn’t.
So I
spent the morning going through my other 195 videos, making sure they were not in violation of this new guideline.
This is one of the things we just have to accept as online business owners. The platforms we use to find traffic - Youtube, Google, Facebook and many others make up the rules - and change them as they see fit.
That’s why it’s so important to to:
A. Not put all your eggs in one basket marketing or advertising wise and
B. To have access to up to date training and support so that when a sudden change like this happens you can quickly get it sorted.
I’m largely in favour of these changes - even when they do cause inconvenience and possible loss of income because they generally make the internet a safer, more honest and more regulated place.
That’s great for people looking for honest opportunities and in depth training - like SFM and DEA because it makes it increasing difficult for
“ the bad guys” to advertise the “get rich quick” and passive income nonsense on the bigger advertising platforms.
Still - not my ideal start to a Sunday - but hey - it can’t be all plain sailing !
Cheers!
