We’ve all heard that old chestnut “Pride comes before a fall’ haven’t we?

But that refers to the kind of strutting, boastful sort of pride.

There’s nothing wrong with giving yourself a pat on the back for a job well done though - I think it’s essential in fact don’t you?  

When I recorded a video from my car towards the end of last year about having just earned more money in one week through my SFM business than I’d ever earned in a month (several months in fact) I wasn’t boasting.

I was giving myself a pat on the back and trying to demonstrate in REAL terms what’s possible with a modern business model. Because another popular phrase “Show me the money” is also one people quite rightfully, use when researching internet businesses. 

I was proud that day and I have been many times since but hopefully not in a boasty, strutting way!

I was proud for a number of reasons: 

1. I had turned my life around from the very dark days following being made redundant from a job I was good at.

2. I had seen the fruits of my hard work ripen. 

3. I had made that money by introducing a number of people to options they didn’t know existed to turn their lives around.

4. I had made that money by simply being myself and learning through my mentors and business partners SFM and DEA how to put that across on the internet. 

5. I was able to “Show The Money” to my partner, friends and family who had stood by me and my decision to start an online business - even though they didn’t (and don’t) really understand what I do. 

That video and many others have since helped me to introduce this life changing opportunity to more people - and thereby to make more money. 

But as I’ve been saying this week - the important thing is happiness. 

Money helps, but I’ve yet to find a better route to happiness than by being myself and by being able to do things my way. 

Albeit with an incredible business system, fantastic mentors, state of the moment training and a community of like minded individuals. 

My partner and I wanted a house with a garden in the country or by the sea. I’ve been able to do that - I’m proud of that too - again, in more of a grateful way than a boastful way I hope. 

2 years ago that really was a pie in the sky!! - All I was thinking then was "How long can we pay the mortgage for??"

Know what’s even better than all that? Honestly? 

I’m proud of the fact that I now spend a lot of time helping the people who join SFM and DEA through my recommendation whether that be my blogs, video or other online real estate.

I am genuinely grateful that I didn’t just go out and find another job or start a traditional business when I was at that crossroads 2 years ago.
