Why does everyone want everything tomorrow I sometimes wonder.
I think it’s because we live in the kind of world where we can
get so much so quickly. We can get information on pretty much anything in an instant cant we.
We can buy pretty much anything we want and in many cases have it delivered to us instantly too - music, information, training courses - digital products.
With mobile technology we can get in touch with people anywhere
from anywhere. We can access the internet from the park, on a train, on a boat in most places.
So I suppose this creates a sense of entitlement - we get annoyed (I know I do) if we can’t get instant satisfaction.
This also means that we can tap in to all that marvellous stuff and profit from it in so many
ways:
Financially, time and freedom wise for a start.
But we assume that we can do that instantly too. Sadly that is not the case. It can be done very very quickly compared to any other method but not overnight.
A wise
man said this to me a while ago when I was asking the “How long will it take?” question about an online business:
If you could earn a 6, 7 or 8 figure income from home, the beach, wherever you want with only a couple of hours of work a day - would you really care how it long it took?
It takes most traditional
businesses - even franchises where a lot of the initial work has been done - 5 years on average to even break even.
An other wise man - a very successful internet marketer - said to me at an SFM momentum day - No one who gets the right products, the right teachers, the right systems and works consistently at their online business, fails - even if they suck at it.
I personally know people who have done it in 6 months. Others have taken a year or even 2 years - not to just break even - but to replace their income and start to improve on it hugely.
Of course we are not counting the time you might waste chasing the overnight success - get rich quick stuff. Ironically it could take you the
rest of your life trying to get rich tomorrow with the wrong products, teachers, systems and associates.
So don’t waste that time. Go straight to the top from the get go.
