It used to amuse me when people thought earning your living on the internet was bizarre, unattainable or unrealistic.
They
don’t now when I show them what it’s done for me and explain properly what I actually do.
And compared to how some people earn their income - and a very good income - it’s actually pretty straightforward.
Here’s a good example.
Did you see the film “Warhorse” ? Huge blockbuster movie a year or two ago. Then it became - a still selling out - stage play.
It starts in a very rural part of England in the early 1900’s just before WW1. In a couple of the scenes you see geese running around.
It’s hardly a crucial part of the film but my partner has just given driving lessons to the lady who trained those geese.
She lives near where we now live and ha worked on lots of high profile movies training birds to do various things.
Now
that is an unusual way to make a living wouldn’t you say?
I mean if someone told you it would be possible to work on a Steven Speilberg film - all expenses paid and with a substantial fee - to train geese to do a couple of simple things - would you believe them?
You might not be surprised to learn that
not very many people do that. It takes a lot of work to learn the skills, get the reputation required and to put yourself in the position to get the gig.
Learning how to run an internet business is much easier and takes far less time. Plus it’s less “feast or famine”
In fact the geese lady has now stopped
working on movies after having a child she wants to spend time with. She also wants to spend more time with her own collection of birds of prey.
Guess what - she’s been asking about running an online business from home - and I
know just the people who can get her started.
Yep - SFM
Cheers!
