When you’ve been doing what I do for a while you start to recognise that everyone who is successful at it (Internet business) started with the same dilemmas.

They struggled with the same doubts and uncertainties that stopped them from doing THE most important thing.

I wanted to share a few quotes today from a very successful internet marketer and blogger called Derek Halpern. 

He has a very successful business called Social Triggers but he says “I wasted 2 years of my life” by not actually doing anything about it for that length of time after he had the idea. 

He added - “before I started Social Triggers, I remember asking myself, “What am I passionate about?” “What can I write about? “What do people want to buy? “What can I sell?”

It was bad too. At that time, I was working full time in corporate america. And I hated it. I felt my ambition, creativity, happiness, and soul being drained out of my body.

I knew I needed to change, but change is hard. I kept telling myself, “I’m not ready yet!” “I’ll do it next month.” “I just need a clear plan on what I want to do!”

And: “I still regret this. Time is one of those things you can never get back and the longer you wait to start something, the longer you wait to see results.

And I finally said, "Screw it!"

I wasn’t sure what I was going to sell. I wasn’t sure HOW I’d make money. I wasn’t even sure about what audience I wanted to build for the long term. All I knew was this: I was going to start building my audience, and I was going to start doing it IMMEDIATELY.”

Derek found that when he finally decided to take action - the rest was history. 

It was the same for Stuart Ross, Jay Kubassek and everyone else, myself included. 

Derek didn’t have the back up of a multi million dollar digital business system, the best training, mentorship and products in the market.
