I logged into Skype this morning as I do most days. Just to see if anyone has left me a message or tried to get in touch.

I’d had a message from a guy I’ve known for a few years - since the days when I was one of those shiny object seekers - seems like a lifetime ago now. 

I’ve moved on but it appears he hasn’t because….

He’d left me (another) message about his latest shiny object with a link to what will be yet another hyped up - hard selling promo website. I didn’t and won’t follow the link by the way.

If I’ve learned anything about making money online (apart from the fact that that very phrase attracts people who usually won’t) it’s that lasting and real success does not come without offering genuine value. 

These shiny objects come in all sorts of fancy wrapping paper but inside it’s always the same:

A brand new system that exploits a loop hole or taps into a market no one has thought of before in a clever way that involves little or no investment, work or effort. 

When I scrolled back through all of the messages I’ve had from this guy I found a succession of similar stuff. 

It reads like this: Hey Dave I’ve just joined this (link) its amazing…… Hey Dave that one didn’t work but this one is the future! (link) Dave - how are you? - Have you seen this one? (link) I really think this is THE ONE! ……. etc etc - I could go on…

If you’ve been on my list for a while take a look back at what I send you in my broadcasts. You’ll notice that I recommend SFM and DEA. That’s it. Since I joined. Nothing else. 

Does that maybe tell you something? 

For the last 2 years and for the foreseeable future that’s enough for me and its all I’ll recommend to people who are genuine and realistic about creating an online income and lifestyle. 

I’ve tried the rest - I found the best. 

I do promote other products - an energy saving product and guitar lessons -  through my website. From time to time I’ll promote very specialised internet marketing products but only if I use them myself and they are owned by an SFM or DEA partner. 

So even if you never join SFM or DEA please use this takeaway - Don’t become a shiny object addict !

You’ll just waste hundreds or thousands of bucks and a lot of time and heartache before you get wise.
