The tip of the iceberg and why you should be on it...

Have you heard of the disruption business model?

It’s basically when someone looks at the way business has been done in a specific industry for a long time and finds a radically better way to do it.

Richard Branson with Virgin Airlines is a good example - as is the less popular Michael O’Leary (Ryanair)

Usually a leap in technology makes this possible - the internet has caused more business disruption that anything else in our history.

The digitizing of so much of what we consume has led to massive changes in the way business is done across the board.

That means a growing percentage of businesses are now run by solo entrepreneurs working from home - or wherever they can plug into the internet. And that can now be done from almost anywhere.

That’s incredibly good news for anyone who want’s to take control of their own income and time.

I saw all this happening first hand when I was in the audio visual industry. When I started no-one knew how to operate a data projector for example.

In the 90’s AV companies made fortunes hiring them out and providing expert technicians to set them up. They were far too expensive to buy.

That all changed in a few short years - you can buy those in supermarkets now and everyone can use them.

Corporate events changed too. There will always (I hope) be a need for big live events like concerts and festivals but many companies now use video conferencing for big internal conferences instead of doing them live.

That’s how technology works. It gets cheaper and easier to use as it gets popular.

People like SFM know this is just the tip of the iceberg and by arming as many people as possible with the skills needed for this exciting new economy they are disrupting our dated education system.

It’s moving fast people - Isn’t it time to get on board ?

All it takes is a click to apply and be on the tip of the iceberg (always the best place to be)
