Last weeks SFM and DEA founders call was simply stunning 

I’d like to share some statistics and information that EVERYONE needs to be aware of - especially if you have kids.

First off Jay pointed to an article in a recent edition of The Harvard Business Review. The article was titled “Technology will soon erase millions of jobs - could that be a good thing?” subtitled “The End of Work”

He then spoke about a  university in England (Oxford) who have forecasted that 50% of all US jobs will be gone in 20 years.

For a number of SFM and DEA partners who are Doctors, a worrying part of this forecast (from one of the world’s most respected Universities) suggests that 80% of doctors will be out of work by 2045 as computers will be able to do a huge amount of what they do now. 

This is all because of the unstoppable speed of technology disrupting the way things have been done in the past. 

It's known as Singularity - Google it ....

Here’s an example of how many less employees are needed to run a modern business compared to  an old style traditional business. 

AT&T VS Google

AT&T - Valued at $270 billion has 758, 000 employees

Google valued at $300 billion ($30 billion more) has 50,000 employees (708,000 less) 

A new type of education is required to prepare people to function and thrive in the world as it is now and as it will be in 20 years time. 

The old idea of choosing the education first and hoping that we like the job is dead. 

Education needs to be and already is being disrupted - SFM and DEA are at the forefront of that movement and are showing people the scale of opportunity this actually creates.

With the right raw skills we can now realistically turn our backs on the notion of 9-5 and build a living out of anything we like.
