I’m not keen on those “look what I earned this month” emails and ads but I’m making an exception today because It helps demonstrate what I’m about to share.
The figure above was earned in one week this month purely from my SFM business. (There's another $1000 going in on Monday)
But the thing about this month is that I’ve actually been feeling a little guilty about how little work I’ve actually been doing.
There have been some beautiful, sunny days here on the Cowal peninsula - where my internet business makes it possible for us to live - and I’ve been taking full advantage of them.
There’s been a lot of sitting around in the
sunshine in the afternoons (and a little too much cold beer - hence the juicer I told you about yesterday)
I’ve also been watching a lot of video (in my defence - they’ve been videos of debates and lectures from the likes of Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens)
Yet I’ve still managed to have my
best month yet with the business (since June anyway when I came very close to the same amount)
That’s because my sales have come from bog posts, videos and emails that I created and put out there. In truth probably no more than 10 hours actual work in total and, other than time, they have cost me nothing to produce.
In an online business model that uses proven. solid, “tuned and dialled” systems there is NO relationship between time an money - working harder or longer is no guarantee of making more money.
That’s how we get the time freedom.
When I was in my
business development job I never made that amount of money in a month. Yes I had a company car, and a free mobile phone but at the end of the day those things own you - not the other way round.
To earn less money than I do now I had to spend 8-10 hours per day, 5 days per week cold calling, driving to meetings, commuting, building a database,
producing quotes and presentations and a hundred other things. I’d often need to work weekends and evenings too.
I lost count over the years of the times I heard the phrase “work smarter not harder” I never really understood how I could do that. Now I do
You plug into a
system and leverage it.
Many SFM and DEA members were earning good money form a job or business but were killing themselves to do it. They recognised an easier, saner way to do it and just plugged into the system.
If that sounds like you - PLUG IN HERE
