We took the ferry across to the mainland yesterday to do some shopping.
Whilst waiting for
the boat I overheard an interesting conversation I just wanted to tell you about.
The conversation was between a young couple who were with their small child. They weren’t the kind of people you’d expect to be having this kind of conversation actually - which made it all the more interesting.
They were kind of loud to be honest - The guy was smoking and was told to put his fag out by the ferry staff. We made sure we were sat as far away from them as possible on the short boat trip.
But the snippet of conversation I over heard (everyone overheard actually!) was from his wife or girlfriend who said
“Ah yes but the master must have made many mistakes in order to become the master - otherwise how could he call himself master?”
Trust me - this isn’t the kind of thing many young couples from Dunoon say to each other! - but it is the kind of thing that every entrepreneur would agree
with.
I’ve heard and read lots of versions of that statement from the likes of Robert Kiyosaki, Richard Branson and the many entrepreneurs and inventors Napoleopn Hill looked at in Think and Grow Rich.
Thats why it makes sense to learn from people who have made lots
of mistakes on their path to success.
That’s why, if you want to make money on the internet the same is true. Robert Kiyosaki in “Rich Dad, Poor dad” calls this leverage - taking advantage of the systems and knowledge that are based on lessons learned from making mistakes.
It’s what SFM is all about - Leverage.
If you get a hold of all the learning and all the systems that someone else has spent years developing - based on their early mistakes and on all the things they wished they’d had when they got started - why the hell wouldn’t you do that??
I’m glad I did.
