The most recent SFM Elite webinar covered the pro’s and cons of working with a business partner.
This webinar featured Stuart Ross talking with a couple of affiliates from Sweden who decided to work their SFM business as partners. They’ve been very successful so their
insights into exactly how they work was valuable.
One of the great things about running an online an online business is that it provides a huge degree of flexibility. Partnering with someone and dividing the business tasks and responsibilities works well for a lot of people.
In this case the guys are two people who have known each for a long time. One introduced SFM to the other and they later decided to form a partnership. Each has their own, very different strengths and they’ve been able to divide things up accordingly.
Their are also plenty of SFM members who work as husband and wife teams. In a lot of
those cases one partner grew the business to a stage where the other could leave a 9 - 5 and get involved.
Others partner up with someone they meet through the SFM community either online or at one of the regular live events.
I’m somewhere in between: I run a
full time online business but also do all the online marketing for my partner’s driving school business. The aim being to enable to her work less and concentrate on growing her soft furnishings business - at present it’s just a hobby that generates a little extra cash.
I’ve also partnered with some SFM associates in an Amazon business. I’m equally comfortable working on my own
or as part of a team so being able to do both is very rewarding.
I must admit - I do love my alone time though. I always have.
My partner’s business hours depend entirely on her lesson diary and they vary from day to day. I can’t get a thing done
when she’s here! But again the online business is so flexible that I can work around that.
That’s actually great for us a couple too because it means we have plenty of time together AND plenty of time to run our businesses.
Today for
example she just has a couple of hours of lessons so I’m just doing a couple of hours too.
In that time I launched an email campaign, had several Skype conversations with SFM and other business associates and wrote this broadcast for you.
Tomorrow my partner has
a full day so i have the house to myself. That will enable me to get some video’s done to add to my online real estate.
Flexibilty is the key here. It doesn’t matter how much time you have to work on building your online empire as long as you spend that time wisely. If that means partnering up then so be it - It’s all possible.
