So last week I told you how we managed to build my partner’s business in our new area in less than a day by using some very basic internet marketing.
OK to an extent we got lucky as there happens to be a severe shortage of driving instructors here -. But we would never have know that without looking for local Facebook groups and contacting them.
We had also built a nice Facebook page and I shot a video about her business.
But the key thing here is SHORTAGE
I know I’ve gone on about that in the previous post but I feel it’s something that needs to hammered home!
IN our little example we are talking about a shortage of driving lessons in a rural area leading to a full time income in a very short space of time.
On a far, far bigger scale there is WORLD SHORTAGE of digital marketing skills.
So if you can put your tent out in that marketplace - as you only can do with the internet - as someone with those skills you are in a very good place indeed.
It’s not like you can only take on so many new pupils like my partner or the other instructors in this little town.
When you are selling skills and desperately needed training products online you don’t have limits. If you image the people who are online looking for these skills as a town it would be the size of a small planet!
Don’t take my word for it - look back at some of my previous mails where I have shared articles with you from Forbes,
Entrepreneur.com, The UK’s enterprise minister, Baroness Morgan from the Digital Skills committee.
I’ve told you about SFM’s new strategic partners Grovo and now Linked in have launched a digital learning platform.
It might not yet be the biggest industry in the world
but it will be near the top before long.
Isn’t it time you were one of the pioneers in it?
Mull it over this weekend - do some research maybe. Have a good one.
Cheers!
