What would your personal brand be like?...

If you think about some of the most recognised brands in the world today - maybe some of your own favourites, what do they have in common? 


Yes of course they all have easily recognisable logos, colour schemes and taglines  that are now firmly established in our minds… 


The Apple Logo, Coke, Adidas, Microsoft. Nike - to name but a few. I bet you can picture most of not all of their images just by reading the names…   


But it goes beyond that - even the imagery has been created to work on many more levels that you are probably aware of - the font used, the psychology behind their use of colour - the copy used in their advertising.


All of this is aimed at establishing the brand's reputation, values and overall ethos. 


That's what DEA Platinum offers individuals and businesses who want to establish their brand online. 


Because these days it's all about gaining the respect, and trust of your potential customers. It's about being recognised as something of an authority in your niche. 


The picture above is from a recent a recent DEA Platinum branding workshop.


These take place over a number days at Jay Kubassek's amazing home studio in New Jersey. It's a mix of hard work and good fun. 


During the workshops, Platinum members share their stories with the small group and their personal brand is created. 


Professional photo shoots are done and every component of their online brand is put together by Jay and his team of top flight branding and PR experts. 


They come away with a professionally branded authority website and matching set of social media profiles. 


This level of personal or business branding is usually the preserve of the rich and famous - it's generally far too expensive for us so called "ordinary" people to even consider.


But SFM and DEA (and me) reject the idea of ordinary and believe that everyone has the potential to bring their unique world view to a huge audience - everyone can offer value in this new economy. 


By bringing all this in house Jay and his Inkubator - a brand name he paid well over $100K for - make it far more accessible and fun for more of us. 


Artists, musicians and writers know that they have to take charge of their own promotion these days. Anyone who sees themselves as a leader of any kind knows this too. 


And we all have the potential to be leaders - if you know even a little more about something (like internet marketing) than someone who wants to learn it - you ARE a leader in their eyes.


I've seen some of the finished results that some of my SFM an dDEA friends and colleagues got from Platinum and they are jaw dropping. 


You can go a long way online without this level of branding but if you are looking at taking this business to the stratosphere it's a serious shortcut. 


I'm looking at going for it myself once the dust has settled from my house move in a couple of weeks.
