I keep seeing that annoying ad for Stella Artois Cidre on TV - you know the one?
The whole ad centres around the phrase - C'est Cidre - Not Cider.
Actually its a vaguely apple tasting lager drink - rubbish!
None the less it made me think of a phrase that Jay Kubassek uses to describe making money online and building your
digital life.
"It's simple - not easy"
Simple when you have an amazing cut n paste business system you can apply to any product or service than can be sold online.
Selling online really is a fairly simple process. You just match products and services to the people who you already know are looking for them.
You don't try and sell dog food to cat lovers for example.
You can easily find out the kinds of things that people type in to Google or Bing or Yahoo etc when they are looking for things.
Then you just market your products to those phrases or keywords.
Then you use a digital
system to do a lot of the selling for you - "Simples" (to borrow another annoying TV ad catchphrase)
But not easy …..
If it was everyone would be doing it (actually they probably will be before too long)
The not easy bit really just refers to a bit of good old, honest hard work and education.
The system I'm talking about here is not some sort of magical ATM that spits out money for nothing - It's really just an electronic version of the traditional sales process.
But expensive premises, sales people or physical stock.
It links Adverts or blogs or videos to websites and auto-responders (you got your 7 SFM videos from my auto-responder - it sent you them as soon as you submitted your email to get them)
