When was the last time you bought something big BEFORE you looked into it on the internet?
I mean a
high ticket item - not just a loaf of bread or a jar of coffee
Personally I can't remember the last time. We just bought a house for example. We searched online for the area, type of house and price range that suited us.
THEN we contacted agents and
went to view. It's very commonplace to do it that way now isn't it? Not many people would go on a tour of estate agents windows to search for properties would they?
It was the same when we bought a new car for my partner's business last year. We did all the research online first to decide on the make and model. Then we searched online for the best deal.
Only then did we contact the dealership to arrange a test drive and do the deal. We didn't need to be SOLD a car, or a house. We were able to do everything except the purchase itself online. That's only because cars and houses still need you to physically see them before money changes hands.
Trust me - if I could avoid dealing with car sales people or estate agents entirely I would!
When I bought a expensive camera a couple of years back I did all the research online first. I'd made the buying decision and found a supplier. I did go to a camera shop to actually try the camera but I still bought it online. It was much cheaper.
I'll bet that the first thing you do when you are thinking of buying something is to search for reviews, information and prices online - am I right?
That's why internet marketing is so powerful. The people I sold our house through, bought a new one
and bought both the car and camera I mentioned got my business because they were good at internet marketing.
They had learned how to make sure they were at or near the top of the list of results that came up on Google when I was searching for those things.
Then they
came across well in their marketing content - websites, values, prices, customer service. They made me feel that I could trust them - I liked the way they rolled!
They don't manufacture the products themselves - they just earn commission from selling them.
In a sense all these businesses are doing affiliate marketing - as SFM teach you how to do.
There is hardly a product or service on earth that can't be sold that way and that anyone can learn how to do it - that's pretty amazing don't you think?
Imagine that you ran a business that paid you handsome commissions by teaching people how to do that too …… How many people do you think want to know
that?
At the moment 50 million people every month search for information about this. Imagine how many more will do so over the next 10 years……
And it all starts with the click of a mouse. Amazing.
One last thought. I've talked about cars and houses here. With those you still need to get physically involved eventually (obviously) But there are so many things that can be bought immediately online with just a few mouse clicks.
That's the kind of business you want to be in if
you value your time freedom. You don't even need to be in the same country to make sales - you don't even need to be awake.
This is not fantasy - it's not pie in the sky - it's just the way of the world now.
Isn't it time you learned how to profit
from that?
