Seriously - why do people still do cold calling?
It's dead in the water.
If we want something these days we just go online and find it. It's
the information age after all and quite frankly if I can't find the goods, services or info I need online then I just don't need them.
We just don't need or want complete strangers calling us out of the blue with a pushy annoying sales pitch.
That kind of
persuasion tactic is part of the old world.
Here's a new video from Stuart Ross about the modern way to generate leads, interest and sales for your business.

I feel sorry for the people who are employed to do this - in fact most of the cold phone calls I get are now recordings - but the few that aren't are (i assume) from people who just
cant find any better jobs.
I honestly do feel for them. I do my best not to be one of the people who just hangs up on them or gives them a hard time but there are times where I do just stop them with a "No thanks" and hang up.
There have been times where I've
given my website address to cold callers so they can look at better options - It takes balls and persistence to do that job day after day - these are qualities that can make you rich on the internet without cold calling, persuading or selling.
Our solution? We will be moving house In June and have decided that we will not be taking our landline phone with
us.
Obviously we will still have a phone line for broadband but we will only be available to talk to for people we have given our cell phone numbers to.
You're included by the way - number's underneath - leave a message I WILL get back to you if I'm not available.
