It's one of those oft used phrases isn't it 

And like most of those they make a lot of sense. I did find that one a little difficult to understand when I was an employee though. 

I mean as an employee you basically work through the tasks you're assigned with whatever tools you're given. As you get more experienced you do things quicker and find the smarter ways to do things.

But you're still restricted to a framework so often the whole "work smarter" thing translates to "work less".

 Most employers take a dim view of that though - they want their money's worth - whatever the amount they've decided you're worth that is. 

Taking the decision to create your income on the internet however - Now that's a real example of working smart. I'd say the best example there has ever been. 

This doesn't mean you're not working - it's just that you work in a very different way. 

The nuts and bolts are just different. 

No set hours

No need to travel (unless you want to)

No need for premises

No need for emloyees - (of course you might want to outsource some of the work as things start to really build - to give yourself MORE time freedom) 

Not long ago this would have been a fanciful idea - now it's just reality - progress is unstoppable.
