Hi
Hello - Long time no see!
As I mentioned in my last mail some time ago I’ve switched my focus to my Guitar based online activities.
Guitars and music have always been my first love so it was only a matter of time before I did this
There is a a relevance to the Making Money Online/Online business space however, hence this email.
I wanted
A. To tell you about my just completed guitar tuition video course and
B. To tell you about the platform I eventually settled on. You can sell pretty much anything on it and it’s pretty straightforward
So my course is aimed at “Not quite beginners” - people who have learned a few simple chords and want to move on but aren’t sure how
You can check it out here
The platform is called Gumroad.
I learned about it from a Medium writer I follow called Tim Denning and decided to check it out. liked what I saw so went with it.
Online course are huge business so naturally there are loads of platforms out there you can use. Each have their pros an cons
But really if you know what you are doing marketing wise - and thanks to my time with SFM I do - you really just need somewhere to host the course that provides a payment portal.
Gumroad does all of that and importantly for a first course newbie like me, is very cost effective. They tale a small percentage of your sale and this percentage decreases the more sales you make.
Its also pretty easy to use. They have clear step by step tutorials, lots of examples and advice from other users and a simple to use product system.
My course comprises of 15 videos, a written pdf book to accompany and a range of downloadable diagrams.
It took me some time to put all that together, tweak and format but literally 15 minutes to upload to Gumroad ready for sale.
Judging by the response I’ve been getting my recent Creative Guitar Lounge Youtube videos things should go well.
I’ll keep you posted
Bests
Dave
