Happy Monday!
I had quite a productive day yesterday and it might be in part thanks to the Launch You self study programme I’m working through.
My partner works on a Sunday. For a driving instructor its a good day for business as most people have the day off.
So I usually have a typical lazy kind of Sunday and make us something nice for dinner.
I actually started the day like that yesterday but I suddenly though - “Sod this - I’m getting stuff done!”
I put down the book I was reading, put the wellies on and dragged the lawnmower out of the cellar for the fist time in 2022.
Although the gardeners did a great a job with all the heavy stuff last week, the grass hasn’t been cut for months.
Its a big garden on a slope and it was a sunny day so I worked up quite a sweat.
Then after a cold drink, I set up the music gear and recorded a number of guitar and bass parts on a song we’ve been working on for some time.
Then I got the fabric, foam and spay glue out and made up 4 big acoustic baffles for the music room.
Then I put some Sav Blanc in the fridge to chill and made the dinner for later (Glamorgan sausages with a big salad)
We ate in the garden.
Not bad eh? Quite a few jobs done that had been lingering for a while.
Might just be the effect of springtime or the vitamin D from the sun but I do suspect that working through those Launch Pad exercises has got the subconscious ticking.
Back when I started with SFM they had a similar though less well developed programme and I remember that too being a real motivator
If I was starting out on any life changing mission again I’d definitely want to do something like this.
