Hi
I had a really interesting experience this week
That weaves the online and offline worlds together and proves that in either, all you have to do is deliver what you say you will. Over deliver if possible.
I think I mentioned on Monday that we were getting a gardener in to sort out our jungle of a garden.
Well he came on Monday and Tuesday with one other guy and they did an incredible job.
Even though it rained most of the time, they cut down a tree and shaved several tons of foliage from the ridiculously high bushes that surround our garden, burning it all as they went.
You may have seen the smoke from wherever you are : )
I don’t think they stopped other than for a quick swig for a flask or bit of a sandwich. Two solid 8 hours days of hard labour.
The garden looks amazing - cant wait for full spring and summer so we can spend tons of time in it.
Even after the bulk of the work was done and one of th guys left, the business owner stayed for another couple of hours tidying everything up and doing some other stuff we hadn’t asked him to
Obviously a guy who takes enormous pride in his work. And so he should.
So I offered to shoot a little before and after video for him (I did the before shots on Sunday)
I did that today, even adding an animated logo for him from my Viddyoze templates.
He messaged me back asking for a price to shoot a video advert for him.
I’ll be sure to do as good a job of that as he did on the garden.
Its a real sign of the times when a local gardener in a tiny Scottish town understands the power of video and the internet.
Its also a great pleasure to be able to offer services to local businesses - A brilliant co-joining of totally different skillsets
But to be honest I’m in doubt that mine are the ones I’d want if I was starting a business today
Because that gardening stuff looks like seriously hard work - The fire is STILL smouldering!
Bests
Dave
