I have no idea where in the world you are or what time it is there

 

If you’re in the UK I’m currently in Dumbarton doing my Christmas shopping as I wrote this yesterday.

 

If you are in Australia (G'day!) This arrived way before you woke up 

 

That’s one of the things about the internet that as a 56 year old man still amazes me - the complete removal of geographic and time barriers.

 

Like everyone my age it wasn’t around in my childhood, teenage years, college years or the first 5 or more years of my working life

 

So it always astounds me that so many people still don’t use it to its fullest potential or just take it for granted

 

But then I have to remember that the internet is still a pretty young industry - yes Industry

 

It’s not just a convenient way to do everything from shopping to learning

 

Its a vast global industry yet you wont find it on “world’s biggest industry” lists

 

Those are still traditional industries like Electronics, real estate and fast food but all of these and every other industry in the world relies heavily on the internet for some or all of its survival.

 

Many industries that didn’t think this would be the case have now gone and more will follow

 

So its the place to be. Not just for Black Friday bargains, cool apps and sat nav, but to put together exactly the kind of life you want
