What a strange world we are living in right now …
No matter where you stand on the various issues that seem to dominate our lives right now, you can probably agree that there is a definite lack of leadership
As my fellow Scot Neil Oliver (archeologist, historian, author and broadcaster) put it when talking about the UK’s 2 leading parties' latest broadcasts - “This is not leadership, it’s followship”.
Personally I don’t particularly want to be either a leader or a follower but I’ve accepted over the years that both are needed to get anything done and that I can be both.
But I’ve also found that the internet is about the only place you can more or less from that situation and achieve real autonomy and individualism.
When I first met the SFM founders - on video - they were talking about fixing a lack of leadership in the changing digital world where there was and is a huge skills gap
They had made it their mission to lead people into the internet economy with all the benefits it offers
And they’ve been doing that successfully now for over 10 years of constant tweaking, improving and enhancing their training, tools and mentorship.
That’s the kind of leadership we need now more than ever before
